Wow!  It's difficult to fathom that we are finishing our 4th week of the 2012-13 school year!  Time flies when you're having fun and learning every day!  We have gotten off to a great start and truly appreciate all of the support from our families and community.

We don't have any final numbers yet, but it sure seems like our fundraiser was a rousing success!  All of our students did a great job and we are excited at the opportunities that this fundraiser affords us.  All of the money that we receive will benefit students.  In the past, we've used the funds to buy sports equipment, classroom technology, field trips and many other items.

We will be hosting a parent information night on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 6:00pm in our library.  The topic will be social media/texting and our youth.  It should be an informative evening and we hope to see you there! 

Our first School Advisory Council meeting will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 6:00pm in our library.  We will be discussing our testing results, the fundraiser and our focus for the year. We welcome all of our parents and community members to attend!

As a final thought, I would like to thank all of you for your support and the guidance that you provide for your children.  I truly believe that positive parent involvement is vital for each student’s success.  We see the evidence of your positive parental influence every day in the behavior and academic success of your students.  Together, we can guarantee that every student is learning, everyday.
