Classroom Library Book Study and Guidance Team (Stipend)
NEW
|
Love to read? Want to get paid to read engaging books while at the same time helping students, teachers and parents in matching readers with great titles?
The Curriculum Department is looking for middle school and high school ELA teachers, library media specialists, counselors, instructional coaches, GT teachers/coaches, and administrators to form a Classroom Library Book Study and Guidance Team. Members of the team will read fiction and nonfiction titles adopted for middle school and high school classroom libraries, creating informational sheets that will serve as literature preview, communication tools, and instructional resources in the coming year. These informational sheets will provide guidance for students, teachers, and parents to inform student choice in reading. Please see the LINKED document for more information.

Middle School Classroom Library Resources
NEW
|
Our community has raised some concerns about one title in the 6th grade social issues book club unit, Optimists Die First. This title was part of the Follett curated purchase for above-grade level texts as part of the 2020-2021 adoption. Current guidance about this text and resources for all texts can be found in the ATTACHED document.
